Ben is going to the beach!

Sorry, readers, but I will be gone for a while! I am going with my parents, grandparents, and a few friends to the beach!!! I am super excited to play in the sand, look for fish and check out the girls in their bathing suits (daddy said he would show me how). Mommy said that she will try and update while we are gone, but I plan to keep her very busy. If not, please know that there will be lots of pictures when we get back.

Why I love my Daddy

1. My daddy is the funniest person I know...
When he changes my diaper, he says "Shoo Wee", puts a shirt around his face, cream under his nose and coughs and gags. He still does it and it makes me laugh, especially when mommy rolls her eyes at him.
He taught me one of my favorite songs, "Elvira". He sings part of the song, but lets me sing the Oom Papa Mow Mow part.
2. He tucks me in at night and makes sure there are no monsters, dinosaurs or snakes in my room.
3. He gets me up in the mornings. We eat pancakes and watch cartoons.
4. He works hard so that I can have nice things.
5. He taught me some cool dance moves
6. He bought me some real light sabers and introduced me to Star Wars. Mommy says that he is a nerd, but I like the lights and the swoosh swoosh sounds they make.
7. I hear him say that he is learning a lot of patience as a daddy. I think that he does a great job.
8. He loves me so much that he sometimes cries.
9. He calls me his little dude.
10. He is my mommy's best friend and always tells her that he loves her too.

Happy Father's Day Daddy

In honor of Father's Day, I asked mommy to post some of her favorite pictures from the last 2 years. Here are some pictures of a few other fathers in my life, too.

Ben's been to the Pauline Pool

Mommy and Daddy decided to get me a pool. I really wanted one of those big ones with the slide, but they were sold out. I am not picky, water is water so this is what we got. Daddy called it the Pauline Pool and said that it was redneck swimming. I have no idea what that means and had a blast. As you can see, I coerced daddy into getting in with me. I wanted mommy too, but someone had to take the pictures. I cannot wait for Uncle Marcus to see it and I bet he will want to get in too.

Ben's Been to Camp Pat

So, my mother has been asking for months for Ben to come and stay at her house for a couple of days. She always drives here to see him, but wanted to introduce him to Smalltown, GA. I kept putting it off because I was not ready to part with Ben for more than 1 overnight stay. Well, I finally gave in. We met halfway on Saturday, I cried all the way home and she brought him back on Tuesday. Yes, he was gone for 3 nights. We (Benji and I) made it through the weekend and I managed to get some things cleaned out and thrown away. We went out one evening, I went to a movie with my bestest one day, and we had a disaster-free house for a few hours.
Well, Ben came back even more spoiled. Not only did they attend a cookout where the family had a real tractor, new kittens, goats and ice cream, they also went swimming, attended VBS, and momma took Ben to the movies for the first time. They went and saw Kung Fu Panda and that is all Ben has been talking about. Momma said he sat in his chair the entire time mesmorized by the movie screen. He now has toys from the movie and is attempting some type of karate chop.
I remember being (and still am) completely spoiled by my grandparents, and we are very fortunate to have them in our lives. Some people have to beg for sitters, we sometimes have to make arrangements to keep our own child. :)
Here are a few pics from the weekend at Camp Pat!

For several summers now, we have had a frog who checks in late at night and hangs outside our front yard. As we were all coming the house the other night, he was on the steps prepared to pounce on our unsuspecting sandaled feet. Of course, Ben was the first to see it and ask "What's that". From then on, Ben and Benji had a time taking a little stick to its back and making it hop through the yard. Now, as you know, I am not a big fan of frogs and many other "outdoorsy" types of things. I guess that will change with a 2 year old who finds frogs and ants and spiders and... fascinating.

Hello

Blogging seems to be the latest craze and who am I to resist the temptation? I am starting this to update family and friends on the latest events of Ben and his daily travels.
