Christmas 2008 Part 3 Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve day was spent being lazy with my 2 boys.  We slept late, finished wrapping gifts, baked cookies, made swedish meatballs and a breakfast casserole, and straightened the house for Santa's arrival.  Ben rode with me to my work to deliver some presents (some had to work ;() and Ben went around and gave out their gifts.  He even sang Jingle Bells for them.  It was cute. Wednesday night we went to Big B and Nana's house.  We ate snacks and watched some Christmas movies.

Elfie made his final trip for this year.  He perched on the tree branch to make sure Ben was being nice!

Christmas 2008 Part 2

Saturday, we drove to the big town of Hartwell, GA for Christmas with my mom and stepdad.

We made a gingerbread house!

Daddy had to help with the icing.

Scott used to always get the biggest presents...but not anymore.  Here he shows Ben how to unwrap the ginormous package

You should have seen the look on his Ben's face when this Star Wars tent was opened.

Christmas 2008 Part 1

Our Christmas week started off  on Friday with a yummy steak dinner at my aunt and uncle's house.  Ben was a hit showing off with all his talking and smarts and gave and received lots of hugs and kisses.

Ben got a firetruck and a Leap Frog kitchen food magnet set.

Ben decided that we would use the refrigerator and magnets for a picnic.  He instructed us to sit around the blanket and we had to ask for the food we wanted.  Notice who has all the good food!

Ben's Christmas Program

Ben's preschool class did their Christmas program on Friday.  It was the cutest thing I have ever seen.  Ben was quite the little entertainer and really showed out on stage.  He saw Benji and I as he was walking down the aisle to the stage and yelled "that's my mommy and daddy" and I could tell that he really wanted to show us what he had learned.

Merry Christmas!

This is Ben's Christmas picture from school.  Usually I am not a fan of "posed" studio pictures, but I think he looks very handsome here.  Look at those dimples!

We might need to discuss the Christmas story a little more...

Ben is the one in the brown on the left looking at the picture (sorry this is a scanned copy of the picture in the ornament)

Ben's class was dressed up for a picture showing the Christmas story and Mary, Joseph, and the 3 Wise Men.

His teacher, Ms. Love, told Ben that he was Joseph and discussed the Christmas Story and the birth of Jesus.

After getting on his costume, Ben exclaimed "I am a Jedi Knight".

Ben and I have been discussing Christmas each night and he has been excited to talk about Jesus and his birthday. Apparently, we still have a lot of talking to do :)
